Wapakoneta Summer Moon Fest

The Wapakoneta Summer Moon Festival attracts thousands to enjoy a week of activities celebrating Neil Armstrong and the town he grew up in. The festival spans the entire town with events at the Armstrong Air & Space Museum, throughout the Historic Downtown District, in City Parks and at the Performing Arts Center.
Highlights include a big music stage with live music, food trucks and a beer garden. There are fun contests such as the Wiener Dog Races, Fishing Derby, Pickle Ball and Corn Hole Tournaments, Canoe, Kayak and Bed Races plus a Vintage Car Show and Antique Tractor Show. The downtown streets also host a giant shopping experience called The Moon Market which features over 60 vendors.
